I think for the geekier folk, it's a D&D survival reflex: "why don't you go into the potentially trapped and monster-infested room first?" (See how lost I am, you bring up women and I revert to high school role-playing games... That probably explains a lot!)
Yeah, but I'd still check out Celestra's butt when she entered those dark rooms first. ;-)
Um... I have to disagree with you, Slacker, about HOW the D&D survival reflex is performed... One doesn't simply open the door for someone else to walk through... One picks up the Kender and throws him THROUGH the door first.... ;)
As for checking anything out, on, or about Celestra... It's your nut sack she'll be adding to her collection Infidel!! ;)
To be serious... I happen to enjoy opening doors for the ladies with no ulterior motives other than I still hold to some older codes of conduct.
From a women's perspective (at least mine) I appreciate it when guys open doors for me and I am trying to teach my boys to do things like this as well. But if all you are doing is checking out our butts please don't let me know, I will be disalusioned after all these years. :-)
