The Ongoing(?) Homemade Video Experiment #2: The Power of YouTube

YouTube has definitely become a wondrous force in the world of self-made, global entertainment. I know this because how else could a goof like me post something so dumb and have it achieve so many hits and comments from so many different people all over the earth? The answer is simple: I took advantage of something from the news, recent and relevant, and made something for people to laugh at. A double whammy, if you will.
It really does boggle my mind. This one, minute-and-a-half video, that took me about five minutes to make, has, within the last 24 hours, received more attention than this entire blog, in the full year it's been here for everyone to see. Incredible. Just goes to show you how people crave to be entertained quickly and conveniently. They don't want to read. They want humor of the visual kind. They want shock value. They want people making asses of themselves and breaking bones. Well, in the category of humor, here's my middle finger made up like Saddam Hussein:

Reading the 220 comments (so far!) provides a fascinating glimpse at YouTube fans... Hate it or love it, most of them didn't say too much, but the sheer amount of response is, like you say, incredible! I guess you've got a career as a YouTube Cartman!

The funny thing is, I wasn't even consciously trying to do a Cartman voice, and I didn't even make the connection until everyone started mentioning it!

Amazing the power of technology. I'm glad that you had fun making your video. That was just way to warped.
